Belize has the second largest barrier reef in the world and this is why millions of scuba divers travel there to experience some of the best diving in the world. Diving off of San Pedro is a great location to dive with docile nurse sharks. The Belizeans feed them fish and the sharks have become accustomed to humans. In fact, because of the widespread feeding of these sharks, a boat’s propeller has become the equivalent of a dinner bell.
All in all, I think this is a great location to get some decent diving in if you can deal with lots of tourists diving with you.
